Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong C/C++, Python, or Matlab programming skills
• Extensive knowledge of ground vehicle dynamics, including tire-soil interaction, suspension dynamics, and powerplants
• Extensive knowledge of linear and nonlinear control strategies
• Familiarity with Linux development and target environments

Preferred Skills

• M.S. degree in Engineering or Computer Science Discipline
• Familiarity with other robotic software areas, including path/trajectory planning, navigation/localization, perception sensing, user interface design.
• Experience using dynamic simulation software for system development and test
• Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS)
• Familiarity with ISO-26262, MIL-STD-882, or similar functional safety specifications
• Knowledge of model-based software engineering and tools, such as Simulink or ANSYS SCADE
• Knowledge of robotic manipulators and kinematic/dynamic planning and control
• Knowledge of other classes of vehicle dynamics including aerial, underwater, and surface vessels
• Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), such as VXWorks, Green Hills Integrity, or FreeRTOS
• Experience working closely with a team of multi-disciplinary engineers (Software, Electrical, Systems)
• Experience with System and Subsystem Requirement/Specification Generation
• Experience with Verification and Validation Test Procedure generation and execution
• Professional or personal interest/experience in automotive racing, off-roading, or remote control vehicles
• Familiarity with ISO-26262, MIL-STD-882, or similar safety specifications
• Experience with Altium, Eagle, or similar schematic capture and PCB layout tools

Base pay range

$100,000/yr – $170,000/yr
